SCHOOL SUPPLY PROGRAM 2008-2009
For 12 consecutive years, the Jewish Federation of Volusia and Flagler Counties has provided school supplies and new backpacks to over 32,000 schoolchildren in Volusia and Flagler Counties regardless of race, creed, or color. Last year, we supplied 5,762 backpacks to students in 83 elementary, middle, and high schools in Volusia and Flagler Counties.
We need your support again this year. All donations go directly to the School Supply Program and will not be used for administrative costs. During the week before school starts, over 200 volunteers will be packing the school supplies in assembly-line fashion at Temple Beth-El's social hall. The guidance counselors at each school select the recipients.
Your contribution is tax deductible and your name will be listed as a generous donor on a card placed in each child's backpack.
